Malmgården in Habo

Malmgården is a former school that has been transformed into rental apartments. The focus has been on creating an environment and accessibility-adapted facility based on the existing conditions, serving as an asset for the residents.

Malmgården in Habo was designed by Larcia landscape architecture office in Jönköping. Mats Sandberg has been the project manager and responsible for the landscape design. Surveying and assessment of the existing outdoor environment have been crucial aspects of the work. Another significant part has been finding suitable outdoor equipment, considering layout, environment, and quality.

The choice of equipment from Smekab Citylife is motivated by various criteria, including:

• HANNAH bike shelter and HL bike rack: "Simple and clear design with a robust steel structure and airy wooden sides that offer sheltered bike spaces. For the bike shelter, we suggested a Sedum roof to create a green impression towards the courtyard, reducing rainwater runoff to the stormwater system, and HL bike racks that offer secure and efficient bike parking."
• FLEXI railing: "Stable and proven construction with extensive possibilities for customization in terms of color and appearance. Here, we chose a railing with a flat top to ensure it does not dominate the environment too much."
